Whales and The Toilet

Hey all,

So I was talking with my friend Sammy and she was talking about how the bathroom is a great escape. what a JOKE!

Using the restroom is such a waste of time. If I could use all the minutes that I've spent on the toilet to do something useful like blog, I would be able to blog way more often or anything more often. The toilet should be an in and out deal, you're not really escaping from anything. In fact if you're pooping you are actually trapping yourself in a danger zone.

Toileting is a need to situation. It's not an escape, let's be honest when was the last time you went to the bathroom to get away? If you want to get away or escape you should just go somewhere else.

Whales whales whales whales whales.

Erica this is for you.

humpback whales are probably my favorite type of whale. So I guess I'm going to say a couple things about them. The humpback whale is also known as the Baleen whale. Adult Humpbacks grow to be between 12 and 16 meters which is somewhere between 36 and 52 feet. They are beautiful mammals that are often times they breech the surface of the water slapping it with their fins and tails. The humpback whale typically swims somewhere in the ball park of 16000 miles for their migration cycle. To put that in better terms, that would be like driving from Eau Claire WI to Minneapolis MN and then back to Eau Claire like 80 times. that's like 240 hours and we would most likely be in a car so it would take us much less time. That's a little bit amazing right?

I like the baleen whale because they are the whales that we see most often. they are in commercials and we have created a market for whale watching, which is often based around the humpback whale. Wow that's awesome!

Ok friends I'm going to go open some presents with my family. Merry Christmas.

yup I guess I'm going to write something

What to write about? I don't know what to write about so I guess I'm going to ramble until something better comes to mind. I guess I'll lead in with a little disclaimer. I'm not a writer it's not what I do. My spelling sucks (praise God for spell check), my grammar is the worst, and I just can't seem to keep in the same tense. So if you want to continue you're in for quite the treat.

I guess I'm going to write some things that I believe, I'm not going to analyze scripture and try to be a theologian. I'm just going to write about something that resonates in my heart.

Jesus in us

Jesus and us, two completely separate entities, but called to be one. Well that's just nuts! How can two things become one you ask, Through death. I think that the only reason that we, as two separate entities, can become one is because of the simple idea/hard to practice act of death. Of course everyone that is reading this would be like "yeah Jesus came and died now we can be one entity" but what about you?

But what about you? Aren't we called to die? Yeah, we are.

You're not wrong in thinking that God came in the form of man and died for us. To open the door for us to live as one entity, but watching a door open doesn't help you tie yourself with Jesus. We need to die.
Die to yourself, die to your old sinful habits, die to the persona you've created to fit in. Be you but be you in Christ. Die to the you that you have created so that you can co-exist with the world. It starts with seeing the door that God has opened, but that is just the beginning. You need to walk through that door. Step into Jesus. Live against the world, live to seek and find the you that God has created you to be. Live LOUD, live in the passion and desires that God is placing in your heart. Because when we do we find that we are beginning to become one entity.

I am in love with an amazing woman, and I have been for quite sometime. As many of you who would be reading this know we have been on and off again over the past 6 years. So many times I've been asked the question why. I've learned that we never lived together, we lived separate lives that watched the other person live next to them. But over the last two years we have seen a huge change in our relationship, and now again I'm sure you want to ask why. We, praise the Lord, are living together. We have seen each other open the door, but we never stepped through it until recently, and when we stepped through it we learned to fight for/with each other. We have seen each others darkest corners and loved each other through it, and when we made the decision to live with one another we have seen God string us together one stitch at a time.

God has opened the door for you. He is longing for his bride, you, to step through that doorway. I can promise you that when/if you choose to step through that door God is going to take you and stitch by stitch and thread you to the image of Jesus. He will combine the dual entities and he will make you one with Jesus.

Well that's what I believe...

Peace and Faith
